=Kat= like the animal

Eyes that go as deep as roots

Embodying the wisdom of a tree.

I may not be old

But in your lifetime

You only know this version of me.

I have been here before

Not certain in which form,

But my understanding for humans

Is one I cannot ignore,

And my empathic makeup

Encourages me to reform.

I love to serve.

I love to connect.

I love to feel.

And this is why I transform

Into a friend, an advisor, or soul sister...

Whatever you need,

I am here for you

Before, during, and after the storm.

BODHYANGA

BODHI - the awakened one within - your Higher Self - the inner guru

ANGA - limb or part - the connection to All - extension - network

this phrase came into my awareness upon my return from a profound initiation into a whole new world of understanding... the medicine world, the spirit world, the etheric, mystical realms - which was first unlocked through six ayahuasca ceremonies & a plant dieta in the Amazon Jungle with the Shipibo people in Peru back in 2019. This experience changed my life in almost every aspect. I already had a deep path with Yoga as my foundation, but this bridging of my own body in sacred union with the plants ~ Pachamama - Mother Earth ~ awakened a much deeper purpose. This purpose was no longer, just about me. It was about the ones that came before & will come after me. It was about me & all I was connected to. This was a pivotal moment of my own life that led me to the other branches or 'limbs' of my own unique path.

& This is when I came across the Sanskrit word: Bodhyanga.

Bodhyanga Healing Arts

is a ripple of consciousness & intention, an energy or presence of a living prayer in motion, that empowers people to access their own magic encoded within their body & being, the world they interact with, & their dharma. It inspires awakening or re-membering this liberating Truth. We are each a living miracle & co-creators with All That Is.

Get to know me deeper
through a journey down memory lane...

Greetings Family,

It is a pretty interesting feat to describe my journey, credentials, & convey my heart’s message & “identity” through the lens of a bio. What is essential? What makes me unique? What could possibly show the humility of the human within me while also totally standing in my power, my authenticity, & passionate message of Love?

Through a Prayer…

Dear Creator:

To my Family,

seen & unseen, past & future, to all my relations,

Thank you for blessing me with the FAMILY I was born into,

ROOTED IN MY PRAYER

I started intentionally walking my spiritual path through the practice of Yoga, beginning my exploration of the many healing modalities that lead us back to the spirit & the body in my senior year of high school. I began working in a sweet local studio in my junior year of college that led me to some of my closest friends. It was in this space that the seed of the medicine was planted. I heard about Ayahuasca & started to research everything I could. There was a pull I didn't understand - a calling. I had never explored any drugs or psychedelics before, so it was not coming from this curiosity, but instead the desire to heal things I didn't even know were holding me back. I took a deep dive with 6 traditional Shipibo ceremonies with ayahuasca in the Amazon Jungle of Peru - at a young age of 21 years old.  In this same journey, I completed a strict plant dieta with Ajo Sacha, a dream teacher, which only heightened a gift that I have navigated since I was a child. I have always remembered my dreams & since I was 11 years old, I was having medium experiences with ancestors on the other side. I returned from the Jungle to go straight back into summer school & had absolutely no one around who really knew of this medicine. Coming back from such life-altering experiences, this resulted in a pretty intense period of difficult integration. I had an entirely new outlook on life. It was a shock to return with the awareness I had unlocked within myself. I didn't know what I was doing in business school anymore & felt like all I wanted was to be back out in nature. After returning from the Jungle, the studio I found sanctuary in closed down & I started to seek community & people that had experiences like me. I found myself at a spiritual gathering where I met a monumental person who brought me further into the Way of Prayer & ceremony. Shortly after, I became immersed in learning, healing, & serving community through ceremony.

I completed my senior year of college, as the first fully virtual graduating class of 2020 during the pandemic. I was already spending most of my experience living out in the woods, assisting & apprenticing in ceremonies with my partner at the time. I was sitting in ceremony consistently, praying with community, helping facilitate & learning through full immersion & direct hands-on experience.

One day I received the email that I would not be returning to college campus ever again due to the global lockdown in March of 2020. graduated with a Business Marketing Degree & a Minor in International Business in 2020. I used to teach elementary school children Yoga & had multiple Yoga teaching jobs when the shutdown happened. When I lost my jobs, I decided to offer oracle card readings to support community through these isolating times. I wanted to uplift people & had my heart set on traveling out of the country to get my yoga certification. Through donation based readings & Thai massage, I was able travel during my 23rd birthday to Ecuador where I got my 200hr International Yoga Teacher Certification in Kaula Tantra Yoga, Shamanism, Dance & Art.

I became part of a team of people that founded a plant medicine Church 501-C3 non-profit - holding frequent prayers with shamans & practitioners of indigenous wisdom.

Through this I gained experience in holding group & private ceremonies through ancestral healing, prayer, & sacred medicines. I had the privilege of witnessing hundreds of people in some of their deepest transformation. I served the Church by wearing many hats - doing consolation calls for new members, health screening, intention setting, educating on medicines, ceremony etiquette, & making people feel safe to approach these transformational containers. I started a sister circle, bringing together women of all ages & backgrounds. I supported in Yage, Ayahuasca, Kambo, Bufo & Peyote ceremonies - usually supporting with the copalera, in song, at the altar, behind the scenes, & representing as voice & community leader. We used to welcome the Native American church every month for a few years to pray. We sat up in our own teepee & inipi sweat lodge under Mexica, Huichol, & Lakota lineages. I supported in maintenance of the land, church, home, & shamanic shop - where we sold artisan goods made by indigenous communities we were connected to. We sold hape tobacco, ceremonial tools, instruments,  jewelry, & handmade beadwork made by tribes from the Amazon Jungle & mountains in Colombia - Kamensta & Cofanes. I worked very intimately with hape learning from many different blends & Amazonian medicinal plants over the years.
